OBOMATE INSPIRING RIVERS UNITED!
Every team has its inspirational player; for instance in Barcelona there is Lionel Messi, at English champions Chelsea FC you have Hazard and Willian, the list goes on and on. In the 2016/2017 season of the Nigeria Premier Football League it seems that Rivers United FC has unearthed one such player, he is no other than Obomate. The Player has scored in three consecutive games for the Port Harcourt based team.

The LMCNPFL approves the birth of Rivers United FC
Yesterday the League management company for the Nigerian premier football league
Approved the creation of a new football franchise in the Nigerian premier football league which is a product of the merger between two Rivers State based clubs (Sharks FC and Dolphins FC). The LMCNPFL stated this on its twitter handle
The new franchise will be known as Rivers United Football Club. The new franchise will play its home games at the liberation stadium
